Baby Boy

Well I know I have not posted about Baby Boy, so here we go.
Baby Boy is not like Izzy at all. He is super active and just moves so much more than Izzy ever did. He is very active mainly when I am ready to sleep and relax, which makes some nights a long and unrestful night. He is definitely more active than Izzy ever was, there are nights I really can't sleep because he is nonstop.
I guess he is just preparing me for when he is ready to be out in the world. So far he has been fine and every time we go to the Dr, his heartbeat is nice and strong.
I have to say the this time around, perhaps because I take care of Izzy it is much harder. I am in more pain and always tired, but a good tired. At least I know all this pain and weariness is for the best reason ever, for my little boy.

So now we are 11 weeks away and starting to get baby boy's room ready. We just need to paint the room and for the rug to be installed. Abuelitos have bought baby boy his furniture and will be ready to get assembled once the paint and rug are set.
Well, I honestly can't wait to meet baby boy and hold him tight.
We already love him so much and we can't wait for our family to be complete.

Kid Junction

It had been ages since I took Izzy to Kid Junction and it was due time.
So I made plans with my friends Lisa for a play date with Jake and little Lauren.
It was soo much fun and Izzy and Jake really get along together. They are both so active and always on the go, they both played for 2.5 hours non-stop.
She played in the Jungle gym, played dress-up, served me pizza, and then hit some arcade games. It was a fun and full day and we are definitely going back soon.

Future Hoyas!!!

It's funny when Basketball season rolls around, Alex seems to wear his Georgetown gear more. Izzy has noticed and always wants to wear her G-town shirt too, however her pink long sleeve shirt is now too small and well that was a huge problem.
So on our recent trip to DC we made sure we stopped @ the G-town stores to stock up gear for Izzy and baby boy.

Little leaner

Preschool has been amazing for Izzy, she loves her teacher and she has so many friends @ school. Alex drops Izzy off @ school and every time I ask for a report, he tells me... she kissed me good-bye and walked right in with a huge smile on her face and ready to play with her friends. I pick her up and she is so excited to see me and is so chatty on the way home. She tells me about her friends and how well she ate @ lunch time.
I now get to learn new songs with her, my preschool songs are limited because I did not go to preschool in the states. So Izzy teaches me and feels so proud to teach mommy. The other great thing that has happened is that she has turned into a crafty little girl. She loves to paint, make paper plate bugs, make foam picture frames and anything that can be considered crafts.
I am trying to keep all of her crafts from school, and take pictures of Izzy's favorite creations. She loves to show them off and tell us how she created her art work.

Chritsmas Time

We have been working hard to make our house look festive for the holidays and to really get Izzy excited about Christmas. I have to be honest and we have not been playing up Santa. I guess it is because growing up Santa was NOT a huge role in Chirstmas it was more Religious and more about giving and sharing.
But, still Alex and I want Izzy to enjoy Christmas time. Aunt Carly invited us to their Country Club for the Santa Brunch they host and this year we finally got her at least to say hi to Santa and she was fine only if daddy stayed with her. She told Santa she was being good and when asked what she wanted she just said MUCHOS jugetes.. Lots of toys.

Then it was time to make Chritmas cookies from scratch and the fun messy task of decorating them.
Step One

Step Two

We also got a GREAT snow day. Izzy and daddy went outside to play and get cold. Izzy told me I was not allow to go outside and play with the snow because baby boy would get too COLD. It was soo cute and fun to see Izzy having soo much fun in the snow.

It was finally Christmas Day and Izzy had a ball. She loved to open her presents and was able to play with everything she had been asking from Santa. She loved her Mermaid dress, her tools, and basically everything.

X-mas pictures!!!!

I am not sure who loves to take Izzy's pictures more.. Izzy or me?
She loves to be photographed and takes great joy in looking at her pictures.
She clearly takes after her daddy, they are both photogenic.
We never have issues about taking her to the studio for any type of picture, so I am really taking up these opportunities to get some nice quality shots of my big girl.

Baby BOY!!!

Today I had my 20 week ultrasound. We got to see baby # 2 in all his glory and constant motion. HE!! yup baby BOY was very active. It was great to see him and to finally know what the gender is. We were shocked, but really happy to find out we will have one of each. A little boy for Izzy to chase and run around with.
I know we are going to have our hands full with 2 active children, but I am sure it will be endless FUN!!!

Fiestas!!!

It was a full week of celebrations for our sweet Izzy. It started @ school with her friends, then we had a Birthday dinner on her REAL birthday with her grandparents and then the big party with all of our family. It was a long week of preparations and celebrations and we are so happy that Izzy was so excited about her parties and turning three.
She loved the attention and the BIG surprise was her very own Pink power wheel. She was so shocked and happy. We wanted to give her something big and exciting since this is her last B-day as an only child, I think we succeeded and made her day.
